QComp Technologies is a robotic systems integrator in the Fox Valley that serves clients throughout the United States and Canada. Our company, which is based in Greenville, provides robotic packaging systems, material handling systems and automation line integration for clients in the flat glass, solar, consumer products, food, pharmaceutical, plastics, paper, and metals industries.
We have an excellent opportunity for an individual to join the QComp team as an Engineering Manager.
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
- Providing direct leadership to our Mechanical & Electrical Engineering team, including mentorship, guidance, and training.
- Setting goals for the team to align with the organization’s long-and-short-term goals, managing through metrics and holding the team accountable to those goals.
- Creating a culture of continuous improvement and a focus on cost management.
- Establishing department metrics to measure performance and quality, for both external customers as well as internal customers.
- Supporting the strategic plan that has been set for the near- and long-term vision of the organization.
- Partnering cross-functionally with other departments during concept development, providing technical feedback and project hour estimates to support final customer solution and bid submission.
- Documenting engineering changes for communication with other departments and supporting change order initiation, accurate engineering documentation, and downstream rework cost elimination.
- Supporting the team with projects, drawings, and drawing approvals.
- Setting expectations for design, ordering, and assembly documentation to ensure successful customer experience.
- Creating and maintaining customer and vendor relationships.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 10+ years design experience.
- 5+ years of leadership experience – preferred.
- Experience working cross-functionally with other leaders to meet a common goal.
- Strong process discipline.
- Understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical design.

You can contribute and have an impact by…
- Reading electrical schematics
- Working efficiently with the Electrical Assembly teammates
- Building electrical control panels by mounting and wiring various components
- Assisting with the design process by red lining drawings when modifications are required
- Performing machine wiring to get systems staged so that Engineering can test
- Preparing systems for power up
- Performing point to point wiring quality checks to meet customer quality standards
- Working closely with and communicating with our talented team of engineers and technicians
Qualifications & Experience You Bring…
- High School Diploma, GED or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED)
- Ability to read blueprints
- Show attention to detail to meet customer standards
- Ability to follow instructions to complete assignments
- Previous experience with electrical assembly a plus
- Working knowledge of common hand and power tools and experience with manual vertical milling machine, lathe, drill press and welding preferred

To support the continued growth of our Engineering Team, we have created an excellent opportunity for an individual to join the QComp team as a Mechanical Engineer.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Efficient industrial equipment design, drafting, and procurement to ensure our robot-based automated solutions perform to our customers’ standards: including but not limited to EOAT, conveyors, complex machines, stands, pneumatics/vacuum, hydraulics, and safety components
- Trouble-shooting complex applications and technical problems with our talented team of engineers and technicians to develop the most cost-effective and complete solution
- Participating in regular project meetings to ensure projects are on time and progressing as planned
- Representing QComp in customer meetings to provide technical advice and creative solutions to exceed our customers’ expectations
- Creating and cataloging sales and engineering drawings and spare parts lists, and other engineering documents in Excel, Access, Adobe, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD
- Ensuring a smooth project start-up by supporting our Engineers
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering / 2-year certificate in Mechanical Design or equivalent
- Deep desire to be an efficient machine designer
- 2+ years of experience designing automation equipment (with a 4-year degree)/ 4+ years of experience (with a 2-year certificate)
- Proficiency working in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD– required
- Proficiency working in Autodesk Vault -preferred
- Experience assisting Sales in developing proposals, estimating, and creating Sales drawings – a plus
- Experience with ABB, Fanuc, and Staubli robots – a plus
