QComp Technologies’ latest offering is their Robotic Case Erector, which provides random-size case erecting with zero change-over between case sizes. The cell can hold up to six different case sizes at one time with a case erecting rate of 6-8 cases per minute. The compact solution leaves a small footprint and safe operation.

As increased competition drives the need for efficient manufacturing processes, robotic technology continues to be utilized for applications where “hard-automation” has been typically used in the past. Robotic solutions provide more flexibility by accommodating a wide variety of sizes and configurations. Robotic Case Erecting expedites transitions by running variable case dimensions on a single system.

MORE FLEXIBILITY AND FASTER CHANGEOVERS
With the QComp Robotic Case Erector, case sizes and shapes are stored as recipes in the system and can be selected manually or integrated with other software interfaces. Operators can easily perform short production runs and custom packaging configurations. Manual line changeovers are eliminated by using smart sensors, drives, and advanced AI based control algorithms, resulting in reduced downtime and higher, more-consistent throughput.
